Capital Ship Carnage! Aggression Piett Deck Tech for New SWU Players

Hey TCG Squad,
If you're new to Star Wars Unlimited and looking for a deck that's easy to learn, fun to play, and sneaky powerful once you master it—today’s deck tech is for you.
Introducing: Aggression Piett — Soft Control Meets Capital Ship Beatdown!
Let’s break it all down:
🎬 The Deck Vibe:
Think of Piett as the ultimate bouncer—shutting down your opponent’s early plays so your Capital Ship Armada can roll in and take over.
This is a Soft Control deck:
You don't hard-lock the opponent...
You do slow them down just enough to unleash massive ships and dominate.
Perfect for:
✅ New players learning control
✅ Players who love turning the tide midgame
✅ Anyone who dreams of raining laser death from space
If you're still figuring out your playstyle, be sure to check out the "How to Start Playing SWU" playlist linked below!
🧠 Game Plan:
Early Game:
Control threats with cards like Force Choke, Shoot Down, and Merciless Contest.
Mulligan hard for removal against aggro.
Against slower decks, keep Superlaser Technician or Resupply to ramp.
Mid-Game:
Start deploying cheaper capital ships like Ruthless Raiders and MC30 Assault Frigate.
Use Overwhelming Barrage to clear the board and stabilize.
Late Game:
Drop Devastators and Planetary Bombardment to completely overwhelm your opponent.
Deal massive indirect damage—up to 12 at once if you set it up right!
🧩 Key Cards You Need to Know:
🚀 Devastator - Hunting Rebellion
Drop it for 6 resources (thanks Piett!)
4 indirect damage wherever you want.
🚀 Devastator - Inescapable
8 resources to Sentinel lock the skies and crush whatever unit’s bothering you.
🚀 Planetary Bombardment
A 12-damage nuke if you have enough capital ships—split it up or focus it to finish the game.
Early Tools:
Force Choke
Shoot Down
Open Fire
Price on Your Head
Merciless Contest
Ramp Cards:
Superlaser Technician
Resupply
Resupply Carrier
🔥 Matchups + Quick Tips:
🆚 Aggro Decks:
Control early. If you survive the first 3–4 turns without heavy base damage, you win late with your space armada.
🆚 Control Decks:
Focus on ramp and going wide. Deploy cheaper ships fast. Play Relentless early to keep pressure up.
🆚 Mid-Range Decks (Han1, Vos):
These are your hardest matchups. Play smart, manage tempo, and look for early windows to punch damage through.
Sideboarding Options:
Vs Aggro: Add I Am Your Father for more unit control.
Vs Control: Add 2x Relentless to help flood the board.
🎉 Why Aggression Piett Is Great for New Players:
✅ Easy to pilot early, with clear goals each phase of the game.
✅ Teaches essential control deck skills without being overwhelming.
✅ Feels AMAZING once you land your Devastators and start bombarding the board.
