The Best Leaders for Legends of the Force Pre-Release
Hey TCG Squad,
With Legends of the Force pre-release events kicking off, let’s get real—your success depends less on pulling the flashiest legendary and more on one key decision:
👉 Which leader should you play?
Sealed pools are chaotic. You won’t always have access to bomb cards or perfect synergy. That’s why this week’s issue is all about ranking every new leader from Legends of the Force—specifically for the limited/sealed pre-release environment.
Let’s jump in.
🔝 Top Tier Leaders (Auto-Include if You Pull Them)
1. Mother Talzin (Vigilance Villain)
Mini-removal on command with -1/-1 tokens.
Strong stats (3/7) and deploys early at 5 resources.
In a format with limited removal, this is as good as it gets.
2. Obi-Wan Kenobi (Command Heroism)
Grants experience tokens to pump up underpowered units.
Stats are decent (3/6) and deploys at 5 resources.
Great value in sealed, where stats are often below par.
🧠 If you open either of these two—play them. No brainer.
👍 Good Tier (Strong, But Not Perfect)
Supreme Leader Snoke
Experience token engine for villain units.
Similar to Obi-Wan, but stricter conditions and deploys at 6.
Kanan Jarrus
Shield givers and buff stats if you control a Creature or Spectre.
Combo potential with Ezra, but needs support from the sealed pool.
Qui-Gon Jinn
Can bounce a unit and play a cheaper one for free.
Creative but risky—hard to stabilize before he drops at 6.
💡 These leaders are solid if you don’t pull Talzin or Obi-Wan. They don’t need perfect pools to work, but they do need a bit more finesse.
🤷♂️ Maybe Tier (High Risk, Situational Reward)
These leaders can work if your sealed pool aligns. But don’t count on it:
Kylo Ren: Needs upgrades to shine—rare in sealed.
Barriss Offee: Niche use cases.
Kit Fisto: Needs lots of Jedi to activate abilities.
Avar Kriss, Darth Maul, Grand Inquisitor, Cal Kestis, Third Sister: Each has a cool mechanic, but too dependent on specific pulls.
🧪 If you really know your deckbuilding and pull some synergy, give them a try—but most players should avoid this tier.
🚫 No Tier (Avoid at All Costs in Sealed)
Ahsoka Tano, Morgan Elsbeth, Darth Revan, Anakin Skywalker, Rey
Revan: Locked into villain-only cards with strict aspect requirements. Unplayable in sealed.
Anakin: Same issue as Revan.
Rey: Costs 7 to deploy and relies on events—both are scarce in sealed.
❌ These leaders might look flashy, but they’re traps in limited.
🏁 Final Tips for Pre-Release
Aim for leaders who deploy at 5 (Obi-Wan, Talzin)
Avoid leaders who require deep synergy or specific rares
Build for consistency, not flash
If you don’t pull the top-tier leaders, your best bet is Snoke, Kanan, or Qui-Gon.
Good luck at your event—and remember, winning starts with your leader choice.
